Cookie Policy
EGOVISTA — www.egovista.app
Version 1.0 — Effective: 27 April 2026
1. Introduction
This document informs Users about the technologies that help egovista.app (the “Application”) achieve the purposes described below. Such technologies allow the Owner to access and store information (for example by using a Cookie) or use resources (for example by running a script) on a User's device as they interact with the Application.
For simplicity, all such technologies are defined as “Trackers” within this document — unless there is a reason to differentiate. For example, while Cookies can be used on both web and mobile browsers, it would be inaccurate to talk about Cookies in the context of mobile apps as they are a browser-based Tracker. For this reason, within this document, the term Cookies is only used where it is specifically meant to indicate that particular type of Tracker.
Some of the purposes for which Trackers are used may also require the User's consent. Whenever consent is given, it can be freely withdrawn at any time following the instructions provided in this document.
The Application uses Trackers managed directly by the Owner (so-called “first-party” Trackers) and Trackers that enable services provided by a third-party (so-called “third-party” Trackers). Unless otherwise specified within this document, third-party providers may access the Trackers managed by them.
The validity and expiration periods of Cookies and other similar Trackers may vary depending on the lifetime set by the Owner or the relevant provider. Some of them expire upon termination of the User's browsing session.
2. Activities strictly necessary for the operation of the Application and delivery of the Service
The Application uses so-called “technical” Cookies and other similar Trackers to carry out activities that are strictly necessary for the operation or delivery of the Service. These Trackers are exempt from consent under European regulations (CNIL guidelines and Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act).
2.1 — Hosting and backend infrastructure
This kind of service has the purpose of hosting Data and files that enable the Application to run and be distributed, as well as to provide a ready-made infrastructure to run specific features or parts of the Application.
Some services among those listed below, if any, may work through geographically distributed servers, making it difficult to determine the actual location where the Personal Data are stored.
Cloudflare (Cloudflare Inc.)
Cloudflare is a hosting and CDN service provided by Cloudflare Inc. used by EgoVista to store video files (Cloudflare R2) and to deliver static assets through its content-delivery network. Cloudflare also acts as a reverse proxy and provides security services (DDoS protection, bot mitigation).
The way Cloudflare is integrated means that it filters all the traffic through egovista.app, i.e. communication between the Application and the User's browser, while also allowing Analytical Data from the Application to be collected.
- Personal Data processed: Trackers; Usage Data; various types of Data as specified in the privacy policy of the service.
- Place of processing: EU / United States — Privacy Policy.
Supabase (Supabase Inc.)
Supabase is a database and backend-as-a-service used by EgoVista to host metadata (user accounts, video metadata, sales data) on PostgreSQL servers located in the European Union. Supabase only processes Personal Data on instructions from the Owner.
- Personal Data processed: various types of Data as specified in the privacy policy of the service.
- Place of processing: European Union — Privacy Policy.
2.2 — Authentication and account management
These services allow EgoVista to manage Users' accounts: registration, sign-in, session management, password reset and protection against unauthorized access.
Supabase Auth (Supabase Inc.)
Supabase Auth is the authentication service provided by Supabase Inc. It uses cookies and similar Trackers strictly necessary to maintain the User's session, prevent cross-site request forgery (CSRF) and apply Row Level Security policies on the database.
- Personal Data processed: email address; encrypted authentication tokens; session identifiers; IP address; usage Data.
- Place of processing: European Union — Privacy Policy.
- Storage duration: session cookies expire when the browser is closed; refresh tokens expire after 7 days of inactivity.
3. Other activities involving the use of Trackers
3.1 — Measurement
The Trackers used for the activities listed below allow the Owner to measure the traffic and analyze User behavior with the goal of improving the Service.
At the time this Cookie Policy is published, EgoVista does not deploy any third-party analytics service. If an analytics tool is added in the future, this section will be updated and Users will be asked for their consent where required.
3.2 — Targeting and Advertising
EgoVista does not use any advertising cookies or third-party trackers for commercial targeting purposes. The Application does not display ads.
4. How to manage preferences and provide or withdraw consent
There are various ways to manage Tracker preferences and to provide and withdraw consent, where relevant:
- Users can manage preferences related to Trackers from directly within their own device settings — for example, by preventing the use or storage of Trackers.
- Additionally, whenever the use of Trackers is based on consent, Users can provide or withdraw such consent by setting their preferences within the cookie notice or by updating such preferences accordingly.
- It is also possible, via relevant browser or device features, to delete previously stored Trackers.
Other Trackers in the browser's local memory may be cleared by deleting the browsing history.
With regard to any third-party Trackers, Users can manage their preferences via the related opt-out link (where provided) or by contacting the third party directly.
4.1 — Locating Tracker settings
Users can, for example, find information about how to manage Cookies in the most commonly used browsers at the following addresses:
5. Consequences of denying consent
Users are free to decide whether or not to grant consent. However, please note that Trackers help the Application to provide a better experience and advanced functionalities to Users (in line with the purposes outlined in this document). Therefore, if the User chooses to block the strictly necessary Trackers, the Owner may be unable to provide the related features.
6. Owner and Data Controller
EgoVista — Léonard Docquier
French simplified joint-stock company (société par actions simplifiée) in the process of being registered, publisher of the egovista.app platform.
Owner contact email: contact@egovista.app
Since the use of third-party Trackers through the Application cannot be fully controlled by the Owner, any specific reference to third-party Trackers is to be considered indicative. In order to obtain complete information, Users are kindly requested to consult the privacy policies of the respective third-party services listed in this document.
Given the objective complexity surrounding tracking technologies, Users are encouraged to contact the Owner should they wish to receive any further information on the use of such technologies by the Application.
